Come and study acting in London at KKCL! We offer weekly courses in drama with a complete focus on performance. During the workshop you will learn different dramatic techniques, strategies, exercises and games. You will also spend much of your time in acting rehearsals (incorporating elements of singing and dancing), all in preparation for a high-quality theatre performance at the end of the week, entirely in English.
Drama Workshops at KKCL
KKCL offers enriching drama workshops for junior students. These courses are tailored for each specific group, featuring performances from the works of Shakespeare, Charles Dickens, Geoffrey Chaucer, and other notable authors. Our drama workshops provide students with a comprehensive understanding of theatrical performance, enhancing their language skills and boosting their confidence. The workshops are led by experienced drama instructors who bring a wealth of knowledge and industry expertise to the classroom.
Integration with the Young Talent Festival
The Drama Department at KKCL is closely linked with the Young Talent Festival (YTF), an international showcase of young talents. The YTF offers children aged 10-17 a unique opportunity to perform their art on a prestigious stage at the Ryan Theatre, Harrow School, England. This event is perfect for budding singers, dancers, musicians, and actors seeking performance opportunities in front of an international audience. All finalists receive awards, recognising their talent and hard work.
Go Create! English is overseen by qualified native English teachers and the Drama Workshop is taught by industry professionals. A typical week of Go Create! is made up of 15 hours of lessons and the Drama Workshop is also 15 hours, making a total of 30 hours of English and drama in a week plus performance.
Students participating in the drama workshops at KKCL have the chance to showcase their skills at the YTF, providing a real-world platform for their talents. These workshops are built on a performance-based methodology, focusing on the practical aspects of drama and stagecraft. Students engage in a variety of creative activities, culminating in performances that are integrated into the YTF programme.
